Community Care Hospice was founded August 13, 2004 with the dream of bringing a local Hospice to serve our communities. We received our license with zero citations on January 25, 2005. On March 30, 2005 we passed our Medicare survey with no deficiencies.

We could never have accomplished it without the support of the citizens of Clinton and Highland County! We began our mission with program development meetings held at Peelle and Lundy Realtors, hosted by "Butch" Peelle, attended by people that believed in us and what we were trying to accomplish. Pastor Elizabeth Looney and her son Joe donated a "headquarters" for our temporary home. In June 2005 we moved into a wonderful building also donated by the Looney family. It is our permanent home, of which we are very proud.

The accounting firm of Wagenseller, Foley, Hollingsworth, and Company provides our payroll and tax work pro bono, and Mike Dobyns of Rose and Dobyns Law Firm provides our legal work pro bono. All of our 7 Board Members are committed to the success of our organization. We hope to serve our area for many years to come and provide the best care possible!
